Arctic Offshore Drilling Halted

Last week The US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals slowed down the authorization of a major Arctic offshore oil-drilling program. The court found that the plan proposed by Shell Offshore Inc., failed to adequately consider the effect of drilling on bowhead whales and other Arctic wildlife, as well as native villagers. The Minerals Management Agency must now do a better environmental review of the project -- which will probably be reconsidered under the next administration.

Good news that the drilling project put on hold. Before undertaking any project one should consider the "side effects of the projects".
This is clearly known from this.
