Now, she will have to work to gain the cooperation of these companies, who hold the drilling rights to much of the Alaskan North Slope, to succeed. Meanwhile, BP and Conoco have announced plans to move forward with their own separate pipeline.
What I wonder, is how she and her husband, a VP for BP Oil deal with this issue? I have the same interest in the Governor of California (Arnold Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his wife, Maria Shriver (who is part of the Kennedy clan). I guess love conquers all?

Realistically, only one pipeline will be built; whatever form that will take, there will assuredly be much political and regulatory wrangling to come.

I am in South Africa. We are following the elections in the USA closely. The process differs so much from ours, that it is quite fascinating. It is difficult to believe that all this activity can be kept up month after month. The debates are especially interesting. You must know your stuff! Sounds like Sarah Palin has a ways to go...
I just hope people see things like your blog entry that go behind the smoke and mirrors thrown up by "our" politicians. Is sleight-of-hand a requirement to run for office, or is that something you learn once you get there?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't stop blogging about Sarah Palin and the presidential election. It's a bit of an obsession. I'd like to stop, but it's like rubbing my tongue against a small tooth cavity. I'll be happy when the election is over (I hope) and I can start blogging more often about other topics.
