In his final days in office, former President Bush attempted to pass dozens of energy and environmental rulemakings on mountaintop mining, air pollution permits, logging, factory farm exemptions, and endangered species.
One of the first acts of the Obama Administration was to order a halt to all pending federal regulations until the new White House team can conduct a legal and policy review of all last minute Bush administration rules that have not been published in the Federal Register.

You tagged "An Inconvebnient Truth", it was a wonderful start but did not give the full facts on greenhouse gasses.
To quote a paragraph from a very good, straight forward article in the LA Times:
"Most of the national debate about global warming centers on carbon dioxide, the world’s most abundant greenhouse gas, and its major sources – fossil fuels. Seldom mentioned is that cows and other ruminants, such as sheep and goats, are walking gas factories that take in fodder and put out methane and nitrous oxide, two greenhouse gases that are far more efficient at trapping heat than carbon dioxide. Methane, with 21 times the warming potential of CO2, comes from both ends of a cow, but mostly the front. Frat boys have nothing on bovines, as it’s estimated that a single cow can belch out anywhere from 25 to 130 gallons of methane a day." @jackie-Well, we both know that meat on the hoof is not the way to go, enough said. We also know that we can do nothing about the sources of global warming gas that the Earth spews out (like the Volcano off the coast of Alaska that is fixing to blow). All we can do is change how much natural resources we use and how our use affects the environment. I bless Al Gore for making that documentary, because it at least got people to start using the words "global warming." Thanks for the stimulating comment.
