  4. 9.6 billion-Number of fewer miles Americans drove in May 2008 compared to May 2007.

  7. 20 Percent of America's public transit agencies that are cutting services due to budget constraints.

my husband had to buy a motorcycle that he could use on a daily basis. traffic and the high price of gasoline! ughhh!

In a way it seems higher fuel prices are benefiting the environment more. We will waste less if the prices increase which I think is a good thing.

I am seeing vespas becoming a more and more popular no doubt because of the insane gas prices.
