Stop the Buying to Stop the Killing

To view more videos, please visit WildAid.

The U.S. Department of State, in partnership with WildAid, has produced three television public service announcements about wildlife trafficking featuring Harrison Ford. WildAid, in partnership with sports, film and other celebrities, major media figures and media outlets are reaching over one billion people with the message, when the buying stops the killing can too.

WildAid and the US government are just two members of The Coalition Against Wildlife Trafficking (CAWT). CAWT works to focus public and political attention and resources on ending the illegal trade in wildlife and wildlife products.

So hard to believe people would rather have a dead animal hanging in their house than finding a way to see that animal in the wild. Just reading an article in National Geographic on the Snow Leopards. The trend seems to be, the more education people have and the more incentives, the more they are likely to save animals instead of killing them.

@dagney-What you say is the truth and it is indeed sad. We are losing species at an unprecedented rate and no one seems to care. God made us stewards of this Earth and not defilers. Thanks for stopping by.

heidrun-Thank you for the Stumble. I will visit your blog.

my friends laughed at me when i told them that i don't eat meat bec i know i can save lives by doing that. do you find it funny as well?

but of course, buying products tested or made from animals , is a no no as well.
