Do You Like Cut Flowers?

There is a new video on YouTube that shows you how to get the most our of your cut flowers. The video is sponsored by Proflowers.

The flowers in the video are roses, but I think the tips would work well for most cut flowers. Something I did not know is that roses have guard leaves (2-3 tough outer leaves) that you should remove before arranging.

Fill the vase with water and add the plant food. Next, remove any leaves that would touch the water in the vase. Arrange flowers in a spiral formation, from the outside in. After three days you should replace the water and add another packet of plant food.

Maybe I should start leaving tips about Mother's Day and cut flowers now that I know how to care for them?

Hello,

I love it in the spring season, when my garden is abundant with flowers. Its relaxing picking the fresh flowers for decoration or for lovely gifts.

A tip I have is to arrange the flowers in contrasting colours. This brings out the colour more and also makes them appear more lively!

Thanks,

Sarah.

Great post CyberCelt. I'd never heard that story before. It reminds me of a quote I recently heard Thomas S. Monson use: "Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." Pune Flowers
