Spying on US Citizens Gets Go Ahead

Domestic Use of Spy Satellites To Widen - washingtonpost.com - read the article

From the article:
The Bush administration has approved a plan to expand domestic access to some of the most powerful tools of 21st-century spycraft, giving law enforcement officials and others the ability to view data obtained from satellite and aircraft sensors that can see through cloud cover and even penetrate buildings and underground bunkers.

Where have all the civil rights and freedoms of Americans gone? Were they blown away with the twin towers on 9/11/2001, or did we surrender them when we re-elected Bush for another four years?

I think the people who voted for Bush a second time around willing gave our rights away to a tyrant. They voted him back in and turn away like they don't notice while he chips away at our most basic rights.

I'll be so happy when his term in office is finally over.

Thanks for alerting me about this new development.

Peace,
Lisa

I think it did not happen automatically after 9/11... There must always be somebody who uses that to install such an observation scenario...

@lisa-Thanks for commenting. I try not to get political on this blog because it is to be a blog for positive change. However, sometimes I just cannot stand it. LOL

@eliot-Hi! Making the rounds of my blogs and I appreciate it. It sure seems like our rights, money and privacy have gone out the door with this president.

Satellites which can see though clouds and buildings - that is scary. I don't think the UK government can afford those but they sure have spent a lot on CCTV cameras, we're now the most watched nation on earth.

@Chamonix-This capability has been around for almost 20 years. I am sure the Brits have it.
