Energy efficiency is our nation’s greatest energy resource. Energy efficiency improvements and conservation measures since 1973 have reduced annual consumption by 43 quads. Increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, automobiles, consumer appliances and industrial equipment will significantly reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
