Recycle Bike Tube into Huge Rubber Bands
This is a great idea that I saw in Popular Science (November 2007, p. 94). Any parent knows how many bike tubes you replace when they kids start seriously riding and jumping on curbs and going down stairs.
Keep those blown bicycle tubes and when you have five minutes, make huge rubber bands with them. Just cut it into thin rings and use the rings to hold magazines, newspapers or other items together for easy storage and transport.
